The teenage and adolescent years can be very turbulent as young people learn about themselves, their place in this world, and how boundaries work. Displaced or severe anger can destroy lives and happiness if not properly managed. It can even lead to chronic health issues or difficulties in school. Techniques and skills to self-soothe and process triggers can help your child manage complex emotions.
This psychological approach can help with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and other mental or behavioral problems. Cognitive behavioral therapy, or CBT, involves meeting with a specialist regularly to help curb negative thinking and increase awareness of challenges and stressful situations.
Healthy coping skills and techniques to help navigate tough situations can help increase tolerability and minimize outbursts. We can teach emotion-based techniques like meditation and problem-based skills like establishing boundaries and reaching out for help when needed.
We cannot treat what we don’t understand. We perform a variety of diagnostic tests to pinpoint or narrow down what really might be going on with your teen or adolescent. Then, we build a plan around that groundwork, focused on your child’s success and happiness.
Therapy is statistically proven to help people overcome emotional and mental duress by offering a new perspective on situations and providing a better understanding of the mental, physical, and emotional complexities of being a human navigating through life. It can also promote positive relationships with loved ones and increase self-esteem.
Sometimes, treatment is a combination of therapeutic exercises and prescribed medication. In order to ensure your child’s long-term success, we offer medication management to evaluate the need for certain medications and monitor its usage to see how effective and necessary it is to the recovery process.
Undiagnosed or untreated mental health conditions can weigh heavily on your child and their support system. Our mental health counselors treat cognitive, behavioral, and emotional conditions to help guide youth toward a happier and healthier life, with less distress.

What we eat has a great impact on how we feel, but did you know the opposite also applies? How we feel has a big impact on what we eat. Eating proper, healthy foods can help stave off nutritional deficiencies, increase energy, and improve clarity of thought. We help teens understand the connection between food and feelings, and how to avoid or recover from eating disorders.
As a parent or guardian, you are one of the most important, consistent factors in your child’s life. Once your child has completed our program, they go home to be under your care and watchful eye. It’s important for us to empower you with resources and information to stay in tune with your child and confidently manage their health and well-being.
Motivating your child through their healing journey is one of the best ways to increase the likelihood of them positively modifying their behavior. Positive reinforcement can be as simple as a hug or verbal praise but can have a monumental impact on encouraging your child to do the right thing more often.
Psychiatric evaluations are used to help diagnose depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and other conditions. This helps to identify the disorder causing your child’s symptoms and lay the foundation for an effective treatment plan centered around the uniqueness of your loved one.
A psychological evaluation is used to understand what your child is experiencing to determine the state of their mental health. This includes learning about their personality and using tools to measure and observe the extent of their issues.
Caring for your child’s spirit is part of our mission to improve their overall health. As a faith-based facility, we believe the spirit is just as powerful and important as any physical component of your child. We meet their spiritual needs through faith-based groups, so they can work on healing from the inside out in a safe space without worry or judgment about who they are and how they feel.
This approach allows us to have a complete picture of your child’s health and experiences. Trauma-informed care increases patient engagement and adherence to the recovery program by focusing on understanding the individual, recognizing the effects of their trauma, and helping them integrate this knowledge so they can successfully handle triggers as they arise.
